Workplace Relations Update 29/06/2007

In addition to introducing the Fairness Test, the regulations include amendments that:

  • change the Office of the Employment Advocate to the Workplace Authority;
  • change the Office of Workplace Services to the Workplace Ombudsman;
  • address transmission of business;
  • introduce a new Workplace Relations Fact Sheet which employers must issue to employees;
  • ensure employees from State systems are covered by the Fairness Test; and
  • double the duration of redundancy provisions in terminated agreements to 24 months.
