
Workplace Relations Update 29/06/2007
In addition to introducing the Fairness Test, the regulations include amendments that:
- change the Office of the Employment Advocate to the Workplace Authority;
- change the Office of Workplace Services to the Workplace Ombudsman;
- address transmission of business;
- introduce a new Workplace Relations Fact Sheet which employers must issue to employees;
- ensure employees from State systems are covered by the Fairness Test; and
- double the duration of redundancy provisions in terminated agreements to 24 months.
